Just finished up a round of horror movies recently. Honestly these movies end up being comedies for me, since I usually don’t feel much sympathy for the protagonists. Oh well, at least they weren’t “found footage” movies.
So I decided to watch the movie “Her” this weekend. It affected me, but probably in ways the director didn’t mean for it to affect people. Some spoilers follow.
There’s a lot of talk going ’round these days about actor Michael B. Jordan, a Black actor, being cast as The Human Torch in the Fantastic Four reboot. The defenders usually jump right to racism as the only reason anyone could have an issue with this. But I think that’s just an easy way for these guys to avoid the real issue.
It’s time for a new comic, featuring a Steampunk duo of heroes facing a terrible threat to the city of London. Oh, and this time the comic is in VIDEO form!
On a dried-out, dying world called Skyland, a young man attempts to break free from the grip of extremism. Unfortunately, escaping from the planet doesn’t help him escape from the burden of who he is.
Plague Inc is a mobile game I’ve heard great things about since last year. As I played it, and took delight in destroying civilization, the thought kept going through my mind: Who would do this??
A couple of months back, Amazon announced their “Kindle Worlds” program, which allows any Joe Blow to publish a fan-fiction ebook on Amazon…and get PAID for it!
I recently had the pleasure of reading Marvel Comics: The Untold Story, and just to clarify the title, the review isn’t sad because the book was poorly written, it’s sad because it reveals the inner workings of a company known for making “funnybooks”, and it ain’t too funny at all.
I absolutely loved this show. It ran for three seasons in the early 2000’s before it was cancelled out from under us like so many other good shows. But now, thanks to the power of Kickstarter and social media, it’s back.
The ultimate battle demands the ultimate answer to the ultimate question -namely, between Jack Bauer, Jason Bourne and James Bond…WHO YA GOT???
I just recently picked up an Apple TV after my PS3 finally died on me. I’m very surprised to say this but Sony actually created a media viewing experience much better than Apple.
Hey guys, here’s a quick review of a book I wanted to share with you. It’s called Stories About Things and I’ll tell you, the title does not lie!
Another Halloween, another zombie. I know everyone’s tired of it by now so I figured this would be the perfect time for me to jump on the bandwagon with one of my own. Oh, yeah -I quit The Walking Dead, too. Sheesh, this is the worst intro ever…
In this post I want to talk about how we can all get ourselves some free entertainment via BitTorrent -and do it all legally!
A review I wrote up on my experience with the Turtle Beach PX21 gaming headset.
I’ll introduce you guys to my top 4 go-tovideo game “Walkthroughers” on YouTube.
Is there a way to make the supernatural occurrences in American Horror Story fit into the physical laws of our everyday world?
The very first fantasy story I ever read was Lloyd Alexander’s The Black Cauldron. You know, the one they made the Disney movie out of? It was a part of his series The Chronicles of Prydain
I don’t know if you guys remember an awesome move that came out way back in 1982 called The Thing, but it has a prequel coming out in theaters in the U.S. today (also called “The Thing”).
This post isn’t about the current movie, this one is about the 1982 movie starring Kurt Russell, Keith David and directed by John Carpenter.
Talk about lazy. I’ve been spending more time watching video games on YouTube than I have playing them lately.
